Full moon in Scorpio 2026: what it is about

According to Vronsky, the Moon in Scorpio places a stamp of intensity on whatever is planned or undertaken. Activities tend to be thorough, and people may become more active than usual, with a tendency toward sharpness, criticism, and heightened sensitivity to slights. Strong momentary feelings can arise, along with a readiness for conflict — though willpower can help one move through such states quickly. Sexual attraction may be heightened, but Vronsky notes that these days are considered less favorable for intimate encounters, as suspicion and distrust can be amplified. The Sun is in Taurus, which, according to Vronsky, strengthens persistence, patience, and determination, and supports a focus on material or spiritual values depending on one's path.

What it may mean inside

This full Moon in Scorpio, opposite the Sun in Taurus, can be seen as a moment of tension between what is stable and familiar (Taurus) and what is deep, hidden, or transformative (Scorpio). Psychologically, it may invite a confrontation with feelings or memories that have been kept below the surface. Daniel Siegel speaks of awakening to one's senses as a way to move beyond automatic reactions and into a richer connection with the present. This full moon may offer an opportunity to notice where old patterns of suspicion or intensity arise — not to act on them, but to observe them with balance. The question might be: what wants to be seen or released now, without forcing change?

How to live the full moon in May 2026

• • Notice any strong emotional reactions — according to Vronsky, willpower can help move through crisis states quickly. A brief pause before responding may be useful.
• • Avoid confrontations or attempts to clarify relationships, as reactions may be unpredictable. If tension arises, it may be better to wait a day or two.
• • For those interested in the mysterious or hidden, this can be a good time for quiet reflection or journaling about what lies beneath everyday concerns.
• • The Taurus Sun supports patience and persistence — worth focusing on steady, concrete tasks rather than impulsive changes.
• • Robert Hand notes that the transiting Moon's effects are brief, except at major phase changes like a full moon, which may be felt for one to four weeks. So the themes of this full moon may unfold gradually.
