New moon in Scorpio 2027: what it is about

A new moon marks the beginning of a lunar cycle. The next new moon after this one is on November 28 in Sagittarius. The waxing phase runs from October 29 to November 14, about 16 days. According to Vronsky, the Moon in Scorpio gives a passionate tone to whatever is planned or conceived. People tend to be more active, with a tendency toward sharp remarks and strong immediate feelings. At the same time, Vronsky notes that a deliberate effort of will can help one move through tense states quickly. Robert Hand points out that the transiting Moon’s effects are usually brief, but a major phase change like a new moon can be felt for one to four weeks.

The aspects and the sky on the day

At the new moon, the Sun and Moon are together in Scorpio. Mercury is in its post-shadow period: it was retrograde from October 7 to October 28, with the shadow lasting from September 17 to November 13.

What it may mean inside

The conjunction of Sun and Moon in Scorpio, squared by Pluto, can bring up themes of depth, intensity, and transformation. This is a moment to notice what feels hidden or powerful within — desires, fears, or attachments that may be surfacing. The square from Pluto suggests a tension between personal renewal and deeper forces of change. One might ask: What in my life is asking to be released so something new can begin?

How to live the new moon in October 2027

• • Use the start of the cycle to set intentions that feel substantial and meaningful. Vronsky notes that Scorpio brings thoroughness — so it is a good time to plan something that requires depth.
• • Be mindful of sharp reactions. If you feel critical or sensitive, pause before speaking. A deliberate effort of will can help you avoid unnecessary conflict.
• • The square from Pluto may bring up power dynamics or control issues. It helps to reflect on where you can let go and trust the process.
• • This is not a time for hasty decisions. Slow down, especially in conversations and on the road. Practical caution supports clarity.
• • The waxing phase (until November 14) is favorable for building momentum on what you started at the new moon.
