Sun Transit Through Aquarius: Friendship and Freedom

What Sun Transit Through Aquarius means

According to Vronsky, the transit of the Sun through Aquarius is a time for building friendships and engaging in group projects with like-minded individuals. It is an excellent period for seeking sponsors or patrons, and for formalizing guardianship. Academically, it favors exams, thesis defenses, dissertations, and scientific research, as well as self-education and spiritual development. Interest in sciences, especially technical fields like aviation, space technology, electronics, and cybernetics, may increase. There is also a heightened curiosity about esoteric and borderline sciences, such as astrology. Healers, fortune-tellers, and astrologers often find more clients during this time.

Robert Hand emphasizes that the transiting Sun is crucial in predictive astrology because it represents the energy source of both the solar system and the horoscope. Its changing relationship to the natal Sun determines how you respond to the annual solar rhythm, which is second only to the daily rhythm in importance. Physically, the Sun governs the body's basic energy and its functioning as an energy system.

The general mood of the period

Vronsky notes that during this transit, there is an increase in fleeting, non-committal romantic encounters. At the same time, marital bonds may weaken. A spirit of freedom and a desire for justice awaken in people's souls. Any attempt to restrict personal or spiritual freedom can provoke strong protest. This makes the period conducive to social movements, though in a personal context, it translates to a heightened need for autonomy and fairness in relationships.

How to live through it

To make the most of this transit, focus on networking and collaborating with others who share your interests. Engage in intellectual or creative projects that allow for independence. Be mindful of your own need for freedom and respect others' boundaries. Avoid making long-term commitments that feel restrictive; instead, embrace temporary, flexible arrangements. Use this time for self-education or exploring new fields of knowledge, especially those that excite you. If you feel a pull toward esoteric studies, pursue them without guilt.

How it varies: house and aspects in your chart

The house that Aquarius occupies in your natal chart indicates the area of life where this transit's themes will be most pronounced. For example, if Aquarius is in your 5th house, friendships and group activities may center around creative or romantic pursuits. If in your 10th house, career collaborations or public associations become important. The Sun's aspects to your natal planets further personalize the experience: a harmonious aspect (trine or sextile) may ease the flow of new connections, while a challenging one (square or opposition) could highlight tensions between freedom and responsibility. Remember, Vronsky's descriptions of natal aspects are for synastry, so apply them cautiously to transits.
